Murarka studied medicine and general surgery in Raipur and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. He subsequently completed craniofacial fellowship training at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide. His clinical focus includes cleft and craniofacial reconstruction.
