Travelling fellowship
HKSSH-BSSH Travelling Fellowship 2026
A society-run travelling fellowship between the Hong Kong Society for Surgery of the Hand and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. The 2026 fellow visits UK hand units in the week before the BSSH Scientific Meeting in Edinburgh, presents a paper relevant to hand surgery or microsurgery, and reports back in the HKSSH newsletter and annual congress.

- Clinical participation
- UK hospital visits and social functions organised by the host society, plus an oral paper or poster at the BSSH meeting

- For active HKSSH members only (outbound fellowship from Hong Kong)
- Funding
- BSSH waives congress registration and two nights' hotel; HKSSH reimburses one economy return air ticket and local transport up to HK$15,000, subject to Hospital Authority sponsorship rules

Eligibility, training and application
Eligibility
Age 45 or younger; active and current HKSSH member with paid-up membership; applicants who have not previously received HKSSH scholarships are given priority; Council members are excluded.

- Attendance and presentation at the BSSH Scientific Meeting 2026
- Written report for the HKSSH newsletter and oral report at the HKSSH Annual Congress
Application route
